Designing something, a piece of furniture, an interior space or a light, is an interesting series of steps. Taking the initial set of ideas and feelings and stepping outside of your 'minds eye' is where it usually all begins. From concept to prototype, the steps may come quickly or slowly and quite often in random order. The challenge is to get as close to that last step as possible.

I don't think that any of my designs will ever reach a conclusion or a final form. That said they will settle into a comfortable feeling where I will put down the pencil for a moment and present them... two such designs are my RB03 coffee table and cirrus pendant lamp.
